The Prince’s Trust has published new research which shows that UK employers are struggling to recruit the skills they require while hundreds of thousands of young people are desperate for work. NEF The Innovation Institute has said that colleges must stop delivering irrelevant courses with poor careers advice and that further education is short-changing young people by focusing on skills that no longer meet national requirements. These organisations have identified a national problem that can be addressed by sectors working together through initiatives such as Communilab.
